[NEWS] APAPA CLEAN-UP: LASG, NUPENG, PORT AUTHORITY VOW TO SUSTAIN EFFORT

 

THE LAGOS STATE GOVERNMENT, NIGERIA UNION OF PETROLEUM AND NATURAL GAS WORKERS, THE APAPA PORTS AUTHORITY AND OTHER STAKEHOLDERS HAVE PROMISED TO WORK TOGETHER TO SUSTAIN A CLEAN ENVIRONMENT IN THE AREA.
THIS COLLABORATION WAS ANNOUNCED DURING A MEETING IN APAPA ON WEDNESDAY BY THE LAGOS STATE MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT, PORT AUTHORITIES, NUPENG, TANK FARM OWNERS, NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF ROAD TRANSPORT OWNERS, COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATIONS AND APAPA LOCAL GOVERNMENT.
THE SPECIAL ADVISER TO THE GOVERNOR ON THE ENVIRONMENT, BABATUNDE HUNPE, WHO CHAIRED THE MEETING, DISCLOSED THAT THE COOPERATION OF ALL STAKEHOLDERS IS NECESSARY TO ACHIEVE A CLEAN ENVIRONMENT AND RESTORE THE BEAUTY OF THE AREA.
